Employment Advice for Individuals

Do you need employment law advice? The Consilia Employment Law team regularly provide advice to individuals normally on a fee paying basis however a conditional fee agreement (often known as no win no fee arrangement) can sometimes be considered in exceptional circumstances.  You may also be entitled to claim in relation to your legal fees through Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI).

You should always check your insurance policies for example those relating to your home and car.  You may have attached to that policy LEI which in most cases will cover your legal costs in relation to employment tribunal claims.  If you need any assistance in researching your policies please let us know.

Settlement Agreements

A settlement agreement is a legally binding contract between an employer and an employee.  This type of agreement normally results in a waiver by an employee of his or her rights to make any claims covered by the agreement to an employment tribunal or civil court.
