The Legal 500 reported that “Consilia Legal has quickly cemented its reputation as ‘dominant in the field of mediation in Leeds’, with many clients viewing it as their ‘first choice for mediators’…The firm’s holistic approach to mediation is singled out, as is its level of service, which ‘regularly goes over and above that which is expected’.”

There have been many challenges faced by mediation services over the last 4 years due to cuts to legal aid and individuals struggling to find access to justice, something which Laura discussed with Modern Law Magazine. As a family mediator, Laura has fought very hard to bring mediation to the forefront of the agenda from training local magistrates, hosting seminars for family practitioners, promoting mediation in written publications such as the law gazette and local radio. Laura also created a dedicated website to provide the public with as much information as possible about mediation (

Always the consummate professional Laura dealt with the challenges being thrown at us and the frustrating delays caused by the other party, with a steely determination to ensure that a fair settlement was met, whilst working hard to avoid me incurring significant unnecessary legal fees. I would not hesitate to recommend Laura and Consilia Legal to anyone. Thank you so much Laura for all your support.” Mr M, Leeds

Laura is a dynamic, extremely approachable and forward-thinking Director. She goes the extra mile for all of her clients and is very conscientious and Client focused.
